Agriculture: The Heart of Saskatchewan’s Past, Present, and Future:

an instructional resource for Grade 4 Social Studies

Agriculture in the Classroom is proud to share the the instructional resource, “Agriculture: The Heart of Saskatchewan’s Past, Present and Future” with educators across the province. Developed in consultation with teachers, this 21 lesson unit provides the outcomes & indicators, activities and evaluation tools Saskatchewan teachers need to teach this interesting and vital topic in their classrooms.

Recycle Saskatchewan have just updated their lesson plans to the new Saskatchewan curriculum. There are 16 lessons from Kindergarten through grade 8. They mostly focus on outcomes in Science and Social Studies, but there are also connections in Health Education and English Language Arts. The lessons are available from the Recycle Saskatchewan website and are free to download. French language versions of the lessons will also be on the site and available soon.
