Moodle is a course management system used throughout the world as a means for delivering both online and face-to-face courses. Similar to the Ministry’s Blackboard system but hosted on a local GSSD server, Moodle is a secure but flexible way to create an interactive online system for students in a class. In this workshop you will learn how to create a class, populate the class with students, upload and create activities, and begin the process of developing an online learning environment for your students. Participants are asked to bring an idea for a class that they would like to create online and some sample resources (on their laptop) including short videos (best in flash format), images, weblinks, documents (assignments, handouts, rubrics) or any other resources. It is very important that participants contact me in advance so that their account may be set up.
